NERA, TRANS, SOVRAPPESO, LESBICA: SCELTA COME TESTIMONIAL (FOTO)

Jari Jones, attivista LGBTQIA+ e modella plus-size, sta festeggiando il fatto di essere una modella di Calvin Klein e di vedersi su un cartellone pubblicitario a New York.

"Il pride è iniziato per me quando ho deciso di ribellarmi a tutto ciò che mi è stato erroneamente spiegato su di me", ha detto Jones.

Jones si identifica come "lesbica trans queer" e a maggio ha fatto parte della campagna "Orgogliosa nella mia Calvins".

È anche una forte e orgogliosa sostenitrice del Movimento #BlackLivesMatter.

Ci sono momenti che ti aiutano a dimenticare quando il mondo ti ha detto "Mai! . . Ci sono momenti che ti aiutano a dimenticare, che ti aiutano a superare quando la società ha cercato di abbatterti, più e più volte. . . Ci sono questi momenti molto reali che ti aiutano a sentirti affermato anche quando non ti vedi. . . Ho cercato per tutta la vita quei momenti, mi sono stancato di cercare quei momenti. . . Così ho deciso di costruirli. Non per me, ma per il prossimo sognatore, emarginato, checca, trans, disabile, grasso, bellissimo nero, un pezzo di luce stellare che aspetta il suo momento per brillare. . . E' stato un onore e un piacere trovarsi nel mio io più autentico e presente immaginario di un corpo che spesso è stato demonizzato, molestato, tormentato, fatto sentire brutto e indegno e persino assassinato. . . Presento questa immagine, me stessa e tutto ciò che il mio corpo rappresenta alla mia comunità e alla mia famiglia scelta, nella speranza che si riconoscano più chiaramente che mai e si rendano ulteriormente conto di essere degni di essere esaltati, di compassione, di amore e di gratitudine. . . - Grazie a @ryanmcginleystudios e alla famiglia @calvinklein per una collaborazione che si spera sia un simbolo di speranza e di amore in questi momenti.
